Each year, Zoo Miami lights up with the joy of the holiday season. Zoo Miami’s Zoo Lights surrounds visitors with over half a million lights, dazzling trees, and animal shaped lights. From December 16th through December 26th, starting at 7 pm until 10 pm, visitors can take a night stroll through the zoo and enjoy nightly carolers and other festivities. The carousel is open for kids, and kids at heart. Visit Santa tell him what you want for Christmas! Admission to Zoo Lights is $9.95 per person. Each attendee will receive 3D glasses to see special effects hidden in the Christmas light displays.

George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker® Performed by Miami City Ballet

Thousands of glistening eyes and ears witness the timeless beauty of George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker® at Downtown Miami’s Adrienne Arsht Center. Attendees will experience an amazing time courtesy of the Miami City Ballet. People of all ages are sure to love this holiday classic, which is set on Christmas Eve, in the city of Nuremberg, Germany. Attendees will see a young girl named Marie along with a Nutcracker Prince embark on a truly unexpected journey to an enchanted winter wonderland. Snowflakes, toy soldiers, and the Sugar Plum Fairy dazzle across the stage and enchant young and old alike. The show duration is 1 hour and 54 minutes, with one intermission session. The show opens December 9th, and ticket are on sale starting at $25.

Santa’s Enchanted Forest

Everyone will enjoy a visit to the world’s largest holiday theme park and carnival this holiday season. Santa’s Enchanted Forest, located in South Miami’s Tropical Park, features over 100 rides, attractions, shows, and games. The park is open every day beginning November 3rd until January 8th from 5 pm until midnight. Thousands of visitors flock to Santa’s Enchanted Forest each year to experience the nostalgia and magic of dazzling lights and South Florida’s tallest Christmas tree light show. This year is sure to be packed with many surprises, as 2016 marks the parks 25th anniversary. Single-day tickets start at $31.78 for adults and $22.43 for children; season passes are available and additional charges for food and carnival games apply.
